A yacht’s crew will work extremely hard and very long hours to make sure that your charter is a total success, and whilst not mandatory it is customary to leave a gratuity (tip) at the end of a charter.

For excellent service it is typical to leave a tip (covering all the crew members) between 5-10% of the charter fee, which will be given to each one individually,  or to the captain for disbursement to the rest of the crew.

Do the yachts have wifi?

Most of the larger yachts have wifi available on board. Just to be sure please ask us if wifi is available on the yacht you have selected otherwise we can arrange it for you if possible.

How do I get to my yacht?

If you like we can arrange for a vehicle to pick you up from the airport or your hotel to take you to the yacht as well as when the charter is over.

How long can I charter a yacht?

Seven days is generally the minimum yacht charter period accepted by yachts, but charters can be for any duration over seven days. But in some circumstances such as off season dates or yachts in between charters you may be able to charter for less than a week.

Questions to ask when considering which yacht to charter:
  • How many guests will be in the party
  • How many cabins are required
  • Where do you want to cruise
  • When do you want to go, and for how long
  • What is your overall budget
  • Are you more interested in a motor yacht or sailing yacht
  • Are there any specific facilities or requirements
  • What level of crew service do you require
What happens if the weather is bad?

Due to the fact that weather can be unpredictable and in some cases the Greek port authorities will not allow sailing due to rough weather or high seas. In this case depending on your port of departure we can offer you a backup itinerary or your captain can offer a alternative route weather permitting.

What is the "APA"?

In addition to the charter fee, you will also be asked to pay an APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) of 30% of the charter fee. This is given to the yacht in cash prior to your charter to allow the captain to buy fuel, provision the yacht with food and drink as per your demands, and cover any other expenses relating to the cost of your charter (including fuel for RIB or other tenders or jet skis, fuel for generators; consumable stores; berthing dues and other harbour charges away from the yacht’s own berth, including pilotage fees and charges for water and electricity taken from the shore; laundry, telephone, fax or telex via radio or Inmarsat). At the end of the charter, the captain will produce full accounts of all expenditure. You will either be refunded any money not used or asked to pay any additional costs not covered by the APA.

What should I bring with me?

Important items to bring should be sun glasses, suntan lotion, a hat, beach towels, any medications you might need, sandals or deckshoes.

What type of activities will there be to do on the yacht?

A few of the more common activities which yacht charter guests can enjoy depending onthe type and size of yacht you charter may include kayaking, jet skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding, snorkeling, swimming, sunbathing, fishing and sailing.
