Meet Matthew Ireland, an Australian engineer with a strong background in both naval electronics and superyacht systems, with foundations in the Royal Australian Navy serving as an Electronics Technician.
In 2018 Matthew transitioned from the Naval world to the superyacht industry, where he has served in Engineer roles onboard various vessels. With over a decade of experience at sea onboard yachts such as M/Y OneWorld, M/Y Calliope and M/Y Bold, Matthew brings a wealth of technical expertise to every project.
Whether overseeing a yacht refit or assisting guests with AV/IT issues, his professionalism and dedication shine through. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, surfing, golfing, and diving.

Beyond his culinary prowess, he is an avid fisherman and a dedicated volunteer, reflecting his commitment to excellence in and out of the kitchen.
His tenure as Head Chef at Tivoli Lodge luxury chalet and Sous Chef aboard MY Coral Ocean illustrates his ability to tailor menus and introduce innovative culinary techniques to elevate the onboard dining experience. Whether executing fine dining affairs or family-style buffets, he takes pride in sourcing the finest ingredients and crafting bespoke culinary creations. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, he ensures that every meal aboard M/Y LANCE is a symphony of flavours and an unforgettable culinary journey for guests.
