Captain: Jiorgos Kourtelis
Jiorgos began his sailing career when he was only 9 years old racing lasers, optimists and 4.70s.
He became a skipper when he was around 19 years old. Since then, he has sailed extensively the Mediterranean Sea, the Bahamas, Caribbean, the west coast of Africa, Pacific coast of Central America, and has crossed the Atlantic Ocean 12 times. In 2001, he was decorated with the first- class medal of Honor by the Minister of Merchant Marine for his assisting role in the rescue mission of the passengers of the ferry boat Samina.
Today, he is an extremely well-experienced sailing and motor Yacht captain. He is very adaptable, easy-going and sociable and will make your sailing vacation the trip of your lifetime with his adventure stories and his helpful attitude! He loves water sports, flying ultra-light aeroplanes and building wooden models. He speaks fluently Greek, English and basic German.
Chef: Dylan Reardon Smith
Dylan is a Head Chef / Restaurateur who has been Classically French trained at Jules Verne Restaurant, Eiffel Tower in Paris (3 Michelin Star Restaurant) and has amassed a wide knowledge of international cuisine. His style is classic, simple clean, and elegant. He has spent 8 plus years as sole chef (mostly freelance) on various yachts from 23 – 65m. He was working as freelance chef in private villas and has consulted on start-ups catering companies, as well as running his own business for several years. He is always experimenting and creative in his cooking, he possesses strong communication and organizational skills. He consistently provides and maintains high standards of quality control and customer service, has extensive experience in kitchen and restaurant management and he is a team player, who is adaptable and resourceful. He takes great pride in his work and he speaks English, French and conversational Italian.
